Your computer may ask you to confirm Kai
Until every release is code-signed and notarized, macOS may say Apple cannot check it for malicious software, and Windows may say Windows protected your PC. Download only from this page or Kai's official GitHub release, then approve this one app.
macOS
Try opening Kai once, then use Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Windows
In SmartScreen, choose More info, verify the app name, then Run anyway.
Linux
Mark the AppImage executable, or install the local `.deb` or `.rpm` package.
Never disable Gatekeeper or SmartScreen system-wide. Read the illustrated install guide.
After you install it
Step 1
Open it and talk
Kai fetches a model and runs it on your machine. Nothing else is needed.
Step 2
Sign in from the app, if you want more
Settings, then Connections, then Sign in. The app shows a code and opens this site.
Step 3
Approve the code here
That links the machine to your account, and it can use everything you have connected.
An account is optional. It links the app, can provide hosted models when a local one cannot cope, and can grant read-only Gmail and Google Calendar access.
